Virtual Regatta 2022 Week 4

We are well accustomed to GBR6572 sailing away with the first places in Virtual Regatta so it was a bit of a surprise when races one and two this week went to Wavebaron. He did admit that one of them was a complete fluke. Having taken the unfavoured side of the second beat a massive wind shift and pressure change saw him rocket from last to first. It was an advantage that he did not relinquish. GBR6572 is a dogged competitor however, and he picked up a first in race three. By the time Luney sailed him over the lay line for the windward mark in race four, he had already put himself in first overall. His victory was confirmed when Wavebaron could only muster a fifth in the final race.
