The British Regional Junior Championships are being held at Derwent Reservoir on 25th and 26th September. This annual event is open to all junior sailors in the region, and is an excellent opportunity to meet other sailors from the area.

There are three fleets to choose from, the Championship Fleet, the Coached Regatta Fleet and the OnBoard fleet. More information is available on each fleet at this link regional-junior-championships (rya.org.uk) . There is also further information about the event and some information about the John Merrick Trust.

This second link takes you to the event entry page. Entry is not yet open but is imminent. The race noticeboard can also be found here where important documents will be loaded.

Event Details Page (rya.org.uk)

If anyone is wanting to enter this please can you contact either Imogen or Deborah asap and certainly by the 19th September 2021 if Club boat use is requested by your sailor. The Club has a limited selection of boats that we can help in transporting across to the venue however you must be a Club member to use a Club boat. Anyone wanting to enter the Onboard section does not require a Club boat - these will be provided at Derwent Reservoir.

Anyone wishing to apply for a Regional Training Group place this year (applications are now open) must enter in Championship fleet.

For note other winter training is available via the sailing classification your junior sails in - IOCA (optimist), ITCA (Topper) etc even if you do not apply or gain an RTG place.

There will be an active presence of Teesdale Sailing Club members at the venue all weekend!
