Looking for a New Activity?

On Sundays during this summer, Teesdale Sailing and Watersports Club will be open for the local community to try sailing. This is a fantastic opportunity to take to the water with an experienced sailor or instructor to show you the ropes.

Event Details:

Our Discover Sailing sessions run regularly through the summer until mid September, alongside our usual Sunday Watersports. One of our volunteers will meet you on arrival, and show you around the club. You will be provided with a buoyancy aid and be taken for a sail (45 mins approx). We have a small galley in our clubhouse where we can provide you with hot and cold drinks during your visit free of charge. You're also welcome to bring your own food to picnic in the club grounds, enjoy the wonderful view and watch the sailing!

Please bring a change of clothing, a towel, and some old trainers or beach shoes.

There is a charge of £15 per person. Should you subsequently choose to join the club the charge will be refunded.

No Experience? No Problem!

Our Discover Sailing sessions are designed to welcome individuals and families with no prior sailing experience. It's a fantastic opportunity to get a feel for the sport in a relaxed, supportive environment, and in the beautiful setting of the North Pennines.
