Queens Jubilee Activity Fund - 2022

In 2022, the Club was awarded a grant as part of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Activity Fund to encourage women and children to get out onto the water. The grant was targeted at the rapidly growing sport of paddleboarding, which provides an easily accessible jumping on-point to watersports.

Sessions were made available to:

• Upper Teesdale Agricultural Support Services
• Butterknowle Sea Scouts
• Middleton-in-Teesdale Scouts
• Plus self organised groups of local women.

The sessions were offered free thanks to the grant, and the Club employed local company Wilderness Outdoor Education to provide paddleboarding instructors.
