Wild winds at Grassholme today encouraged everyone to stay ashore, although James A, our round the world sailor, evidently thought it was nothing compared to an ocean crossing and was itching to get out there with a reef in. The safety boat crew had already started shore based jobs so that was an end to that.

Chris B was concerned that Storm Kathrine might destroy his roof repairs and bravely scaled a ladder to add a few extra tiles and nails.

Lots of other jobs were done by a large contingent of land bound sailors, so the club is in good shape. It is the nature of sailing clubs that there is always more to do, but if the weather smiles on us next week we can all go for a sail, and the club can look after itself
