RYA Dinghy Level 1 'Start Sailing' Course

A two day practical course with some theory, designed to get you sailing in light winds. This is a short introduction to sailing for those with no or very little experience. Participants should be fit and confident in the water. The course covers the rigging, launching and recovery of boats. Basic sailing techniques and manoeuvres, the 'Five Essentials', rope work, weather and rule of the road. You will be issued with a RYA logbook, and a Start Sailing handbook. On successful completion of the course you will receive a certificate to go in your logbook.
